Angel, Angel, Down We Go (1969)

Just watched  Angel, Angel, Down We Go (1969) A.K.A. The Cult of the Damned.  That is one weird movie, a dark comedy with a dark ending, but a lot of bizarre stuff.  It’s about the overweight daughter of millionaires (Jennifer Jones and Charles Aidman) who falls in with a questionable (free-spirited or psychopath?) rock star and his groupies (including the great character actor Roddy McDowall)   who use her and move on to her mother, Jones.  Presented  by Samuel Z. Arkoff  (American International) this bizarre satire with interesting, somewhat stereotyped characters is far more sophisticated than his usual beach and horror films, yet not really any better.
